First established in 1947 by Sal Spinelli, known to be a man of his community, working as the Assistant Village Engineer for nearly 40 years in the Village of Mamaroneck as well as dedicating time as a volunteer fireman.
In 1977, Sal's son, Richard Sr. obtained his surveying license and took over the business after working as the Assistant Village Engineer of Mamaroneck.
Today, the company is being led by Richard Jr., who had pursued the same path as his father and grandfather and was licensed in 2015. Spinelli Surveying then expanded operations to Northern Westchester and Putnam County by acquiring other local companies and gathering survey records dating back to the 1800’s.
